Since the IMEON inverter contains all core components, such as MPP trackers, charge controllers and monitoring modules, a highly efficient PV system can be quickly set up with the integrated software. This compact solution from IMEON leads to simplified installation and fast parameterization with a greatly reduced space requirement.
Smart Grid and Embedded Artificial Intelligence
The IMEON inverter can be integrated into the Internet and can be coupled with other IMEON inverters to form virtual power plants. With intelligent management and the resulting connection to other devices, the inverter is equipped for the future. An ARM Cortex processor from Texas Instruments and the built-in 8 GB memory ensure this expandability. This makes it possible to integrate updates in the form of downloadable applications (apps) through the module manager available in the IMEON OS program. The user can update the inverter himself after the release of a new app.
With an embedded artificial intelligence, the IMEON photovoltaic inverter has the ability to collect and analyze data (consumption and production profiles...) in order to adapt its behavior in such a way as to continuously improve the overall efficiency of the solar system.
The life of the connected battery is also extended with the help of artificial intelligence. This artificial intelligence will take into account data such as the consumption profile of the site, the production profile of the site, as well as the weather forecast for the coming hours. For example, after analyzing these various data, the IMEON inverter takes the initiative to automatically reduce the discharge currents by a factor of 2 by multiplying the discharge duration by 2. The consequence of this is that a connected battery charges and discharges more slowly, which extends its lifespan.
So far, there are 40 apps available.
Cost-effective through permanent optimisation
The IMEON Smart Grid inverter is designed for a wide variety of solar systems: it supports off-grid, grid-connected, UPS or hybrid systems in equal measure. IMEON is a smart plug and play inverter that simplifies the installation process and reduces the overall time to install a photovoltaic system.
If the IMEON inverter is connected to the Internet, it can retrieve the weather data. From the data of the past (e.g. energy consumption or generated power), the inverter independently creates models and forecasts, which it uses to optimize the overall system.
Separate components such as charge controllers or additional inverters are not required when using the IMEON inverter. The total cost of the photovoltaic system can thus be reduced by up to 30%. The innovative smart grid function of IMEON devices lowers the required storage capacity, reduces battery charging cycles and extends battery life.
Intelligent communication with IMEON PV systems
An IMEON PV system can be monitored and controlled from anywhere on earth. The software required for this was developed in HTML 5 and can be operated intuitively.
The software communicates with the IMEON-MANAGER application of each device and allows the user to track PV systems in real time.
If the IMEON inverter is not connected to the Internet, the user can access the inverter's built-in web server. The web server can be reached under the SSID "SSID: IMEON_serialnumber".
