AI Inside
Buying an IMEON is a way to anticipate the future. With an embedded artificial intelligence,
IMEON will evolve with the tools of tomorrow. No more obsolescence!
All in One
A self-consumption photovoltaic installation aims to meet, partially or fully, the energy consumption needs of the building. Usually, a self-consumption installation with batteries requires various components which must individually be appropriately sized and have the capability to work together as a system. These components are: an MPPT regulator (or solar charger or MPPT charger), an off grid inverter (or DC / AC converter) and a transfer switch to switch from solar power supply to a secondary power supply if the battery is empty (public electricity distribution network or a generator).
The IMEON solar inverter is an “all-in-one†solution which encases all the elements necessary for the implementation of a self-consumption photovoltaic system. For the installer, the IMEON inverters simplify the implementation of a self-consumption system and therefore greatly reduce the installation time.
IMEON solutions have an integrated MPPT controller. This component is responsible for finding the voltage value at which the solar panel delivers the maximum power. This value is retained as long as conditions remain unchanged. When external factors such as a clouds, shadows, or a change in temperature start playing a role, the MPPT regulator adapts the voltage of the panels to the new peak performance point.
The IMEON solar inverter is designed to adapt to all types of self-consumption solar installations:
Electrification of isolated sites (the term “off grid†is commonly used for this type of installation).
Self-consumption on a network connected site with or without batteries.
Self-consumption on a network connected site with backup.
IMEON is an all-in-one solar inverter and the essential compact solution for photovoltaic self-generation:Â simplified installation, quick setup, optimized efficiency, reduced package. The IMEON hybrid inverter facilitates the work of installers while optimizing the cost of solar-generated kWh.
More Independent
Thanks to their open architecture, the IMEON hybrid inverters for self-consumption give users and installers the choice of the type and storage capacity of the batteries they want to install.
With programmable battery charging currents (5A to 60A for IMEON 3.6 and 5A to 160A for IMEON 9.12), it is possible to couple IMEON inverters with batteries of various sizes, ranging from 5kWh up to more than 100kWh. In this way, each installation can be sized according to the autonomy level the user wishes to obtain.
For example, the owner of a house, with a limited budget, who simply wants to focus on self-consumption and requires power for the lights in the household in case of one hour long power failure, can opt for a small capacity battery.
Alternatively, the owner of a site not connected to the electrical grid, with no budget constraints, can invest in a large battery bank allowing it to be 100% autonomous without adding a generator.
More Secure
IMEON is probably the most secure PV inverter on the market. IMEON informs the user and the installer of current events concerning the self-consumption solar installation. It also assures, by the backup function, the power supply for home’s essentials during power outages.
The backup function is available in the Smart-Grid mode and in the Back-Up mode of the IMEON photovoltaic inverters.
The Smart-Grid mode, comes with 2 thresholds of battery discharge which are configurable, namely maximum depth of discharge when the grid is present and maximum depth of discharge when the grid is down. It is important to define two different thresholds to assure that a certain amount of energy stored in the batteries is available for backup.
In Backup mode, when the network is functional the batteries are kept permanently charged. Battery discharge is only allowed when a power outage occurs. This mode allows you to dedicate the full capacity of the battery for backup power supply during network interruptions.
The user can follow the operation of his installation locally by connecting to IMEON OS. ONE, which is also used to configure the PV inverter. IMEON web monitoring portal allows in turn to analyze the performance information remotely. The installer has access to a dedicated monitoring interface which allows him to inspect all of his IMEON installations through the park management feature.
In the near future, the IMEON PV inverter will be able to send alerts to users and installers to avoid significant events.
These features, among others, are implemented with the intention to make the installations as secure as possible and to simplify the supervision and diagnostic operations for installers.
