What is TOPCon technology and why is it important?
TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) uses an ultra-thin oxide layer between the silicon and the contacts to reduce electronic losses and improve solar-cell efficiency. It can deliver high energy yields, but the choice and quality of the materials remain important because untested combinations can increase failure rates.
What are the advantages of glass-glass solar modules?
Glass-glass modules are durable and highly resistant to environmental influences such as strong winds. They are well suited to demanding climates and architectural applications. Bifacial modules generally use a second glass pane on the rear, providing the same structural and protective advantages.
Are there tax advantages when buying solar modules in Europe?
Several European countries apply reduced or even zero VAT rates to qualifying solar systems, including Germany and Austria. The exact requirements differ by country and can change. Please check the current information for the destination country before ordering.

No Question Goes Unanswered
What are bifacial modules and when are they useful?
Bifacial modules collect light on both sides. They are particularly effective above reflective surfaces such as snow, light-coloured ground or water and can increase the total energy yield by using reflected light on the rear side.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of full-black solar modules?
Full-black modules provide a uniform, elegant appearance and are popular on visible residential roofs. Their dark surfaces can become slightly warmer than modules with lighter components, which may marginally reduce output at high temperatures. The electrical performance ultimately depends on the cell technology and the specific module design.
What is the difference between N-type and P-type modules?
N-type modules generally offer higher efficiency, better performance at high temperatures and lower light-induced degradation. P-type modules are established, widely available and often less expensive. The best choice depends on available roof area, price and the module’s overall quality.
Why is solar-module efficiency important?
Higher efficiency means that more electricity can be generated from the same roof area. This is particularly valuable where space is limited or solar irradiation is lower. Efficient modules allow a larger generator capacity on a restricted area and can therefore improve yield and profitability.
What is PERC technology?
PERC (Passivated Emitter and Rear Cell) technology adds a passivation layer to the rear of a solar cell. This reflects unused light back into the cell and reduces electrical losses, improving efficiency and energy yield.
