No grid-operator registration up to 2,000 Wp – what does that mean?

In Germany, plug-in solar systems with up to 800 W feed-in power and 2,000 Wp module capacity do not require grid-operator approval. Free registration in the Market Data Register (MaStR) is still mandatory. The three- and four-module sets are designed around this limit.

Why choose Heckert Solar full-black modules?

Heckert Solar has manufactured modules in Germany for more than 30 years and is one of the remaining European module manufacturers. The ZEUS 3.0 full-black modules combine 485 Wp output with an elegant black appearance and a 30-year product and performance warranty.

Anker SOLIX Solarbank 3 – battery and inverter in one

The Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro combines an inverter, a 2.7 kWh LiFePO4 battery and a smart meter in one compact IP65-rated unit. It supplies up to 800 W, measures household consumption in real time and can power connected appliances through its integrated off-grid output during a grid outage.

Is a battery worthwhile, or is a system without one sufficient?

Without a battery, solar electricity is only used while the sun is shining and midday surplus is exported. The 2.7 kWh battery stores this energy for the evening, when household demand is often higher. The Anker SOLIX smart meter supplies only the power currently required and stores the remainder. As a rule of thumb, around 1 kWh of capacity per 1,000 kWh of annual consumption can be suitable; BP2700 batteries allow expansion up to 16.1 kWh.

Will I still have electricity during a power outage?

Yes. The Anker SOLIX Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro has a dedicated backup socket that can supply important appliances with up to 1,200 W during a grid outage. The battery must have sufficient charge and the connected load must remain below 1,200 W. A balcony solar system without a battery shuts down when the grid fails.

A balcony solar system can reduce your electricity costs without major building work: mount the panels, plug in the system and start generating. The complete sets combine full-black Heckert Solar panels made in Germany with the Anker SOLIX Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro, integrating battery storage and inverter in one unit with backup-power capability.

Simplified registration in Germany: For systems with up to 800 W feed-in power and 2,000 Wp of installed panel capacity, separate registration with the grid operator is not required under the applicable German rules. Registration in the German Market Master Data Register is still required.

Store solar energy instead of giving it away: 2.7 kWh of storage keeps midday solar energy available for the evening. The Anker SOLIX Smart Meter adjusts feed-in to your household consumption so more solar energy stays in your home. If required, expand the storage system with BP2700 batteries up to 16.1 kWh.

Choose your set by output and add the right mounting system for a balcony railing, flat roof or terrace. Unsure what fits your balcony? Get free advice backed by solar experience since 1995.

No Question Goes Unanswered

Do I have to register a balcony solar system?

No registration with the grid operator is required in Germany for plug-in solar systems with up to 800 W feed-in power and 2,000 Wp module capacity. Registration in the free Market Data Register (MaStR) remains mandatory and can be completed online in a few minutes. The 1,455 Wp and 1,940 Wp complete sets are designed around this limit.

What happens during a power outage?

The Anker SOLIX Solarbank 3 Pro has a separate off-grid output. During a grid outage, it can continue supplying connected appliances such as a router, lighting or refrigerator. For safety reasons, the normal sockets in the house remain disconnected from the grid.

Can I expand the battery later?

Yes. Anker SOLIX BP2700 expansion batteries increase capacity from 2.7 kWh to as much as 16.1 kWh without tools. Additional solar modules can also be connected later, allowing the system to grow with your needs.

Which mounting system fits my balcony?

NuaSol balcony mounts are available for square or round railings up to 80 mm. Adjustable supports with angles of 30–60° or continuously adjustable 0–90° versions are available for flat roofs, terraces and garages. Each mounting set carries two modules; simply select additional sets for larger systems.

Why choose a system with a battery?

Without a battery, surplus midday solar power is exported to the grid without being used in the home. The Solarbank stores this energy for the evening, considerably increasing self-consumption. The integrated smart meter adjusts output to the household’s current demand and directs the remaining energy into the battery.
