1,500 Wp Full Black Balcony Power Plant with Anker SOLIX Solarbank 3 Pro

The 1,500 Wp balcony power plant is a complete kit with battery storage for immediate self-generated power on the balcony, terrace or flat roof. Three bifacial glass-glass panels from Sunpro, each rated at 500 Wp, together deliver 1,500 Wp – combined with the Anker SOLIX Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro, which combines battery storage and inverter in a single device. New in the set: the Anker SOLIX Smart Meter Gen 2.

The set is designed for registration-free operation: up to 800 W feed-in power and 2,000 Wp module power, no registration with the grid operator is required. The free entry in the Market Master Data Register (Marktstammdatenregister, MaStR) remains mandatory – this can be completed online in just a few minutes.

Storage, inverter & backup power in one device

The Anker SOLIX Solarbank 3 E2700 Pro stores surplus midday power for use in the evening – with a 2.7 kWh LiFePO4 battery (IP65, durable and weatherproof). Controlled by the included Smart Meter Gen 2, it automatically adjusts its feed-in to match actual household consumption, keeping as much solar power in the home as possible. In the event of a power outage, the off-grid output continues to supply connected devices – such as a router, lighting or refrigerator.

New in the set: Anker SOLIX Smart Meter Gen 2

The scope of delivery includes the Anker SOLIX Smart Meter Gen 2 (AE1X0311, three-phase) – the current meter generation, not the previous one. It measures household consumption on all three phases in real time and reports the values to the Solarbank, which adjusts its output within about 3 seconds. The result: a higher self-consumption rate and less unused feed-in to the grid.

Compared with the first generation, the Gen 2 is around 50% slimmer, at just 19 mm in height, so it also fits into already tightly packed meter cabinets. Wiring is done via tool-free Weidmüller SNAP-IN terminals, with connectivity via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or RS-485. Accuracy class 1, around 2 W self-consumption, current transformer with a 63 A or 120 A opening. Mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail.

Installation note: The smart meter is installed in the fuse box or meter cabinet. Under VDE regulations and § 13 NAV (German Low Voltage Connection Ordinance), this work may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Expandable up to 16.1 kWh

The storage system grows with your needs: with the Anker SOLIX BP2700 expansion battery, capacity can be scaled tool-free from 2.7 kWh up to 16.1 kWh. Additional panels can also be retrofitted.

Bifacial glass-glass panels with 500 Wp

The Sunpro SPDG500-N120R10 panels use N-type TOPCon cells and achieve an efficiency of 22.55%. Two 2 mm-thick glass panes permanently protect the cells from micro-cracks, moisture and UV – tested for snow loads up to 5,400 Pa and wind loads up to 2,400 Pa. Through the transparent rear side, the panels also make use of light reflected from the surface beneath them, delivering up to 15% additional yield depending on installation. A black frame and dark front blend unobtrusively into facades or balcony railings. Sunpro provides a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year linear performance warranty, guaranteeing at least 87.4% residual output after 30 years.

Each panel on its own MPP tracker

The Solarbank 3 Pro has four MPP trackers (32 A, 16–60 V each). In this set, each panel is assigned its own tracker: shading at one panel does not reduce the yield of the others. In total, the device can handle up to 3,600 W of solar power – leaving headroom for adding further panels.

Important: mounting hardware sold separately

Mounting hardware is not included in the set. The panels measure 1,955 × 1,134 mm and weigh 26.5 kg. For square/rectangular railings up to 80 mm, we recommend the NuaSol balcony mount (rectangular); for round railings, the NuaSol balcony mount (round). For flat roofs, terraces or gardens, the NuaSol ground/roof mount with 30°–60° tilt is available. Each mount holds two panels.
