Detailed Description – Qcells Q.TRON Classic 500 Wp

The 500 Wp Q.TRON Classic in glass-glass construction is equally suitable for private rooftop systems and for commercial and agricultural installations, delivering high, stable yields over the entire service life.

Q.ANTUM NEO cell technology – bifacial for additional yield

At the heart of the panel are monocrystalline, bifacial Q.ANTUM NEO N-type half-cells arranged in a 6 × 18 layout. This new cell generation combines the proven advantages of the Q.ANTUM platform – high rear-side cell passivation, low losses at cell edges – with the benefits of N-type construction: less degradation, better low-light performance and an optimised temperature coefficient. Thanks to its bifacial design, the panel also captures light on its rear side, increasing the overall yield of the system. The result is a module efficiency of up to 23.2%.

Glass-glass construction for decades of yield

The panel is built as a genuine glass-glass module: two glass layers enclose the cells and reliably protect them from moisture, UV radiation and mechanical stress. The 2.0 mm thick, thermally tempered front glass with anti-reflective coating maximises light incidence and minimises reflection losses – so more energy reaches the cells. This construction also increases resistance to micro-cracks and improves fire behaviour.
