Victron Energy MultiPlus Compact 24/800 / 16-16 230V VE.Bus inverter
Â
This device is also available in a 2000VA - Version for operation on 24Volt battery storage systems.
Two AC outlets and multifunctional
The Victron MultiPlus Compact is a powerful pure sine wave inverter, an optimal battery charger that uses adaptive charging technology, and a high-speed AC voltage transfer switch in a single compact housing.
The main output guarantees uninterrupted operation. In the event of a power failure or an interruption to shore or generator power, the MultiPlus takes over the supply of the connected consumers. The switchover happens so quickly (in less than 20 milliseconds) that uninterrupted operation of computers and other electronic devices is guaranteed. An interruption of the work is excluded. The second output only supplies power when AC power is available at one of the inputs of the MultiPlus. Consumers that are not allowed to discharge the batteries (such as Pylontech batteries) can be connected to this output.
Here is the list of compatible batteries.
Â
Practically unlimited power through parallel connection
Up to six devices of the same type can be connected in parallel if there is a high power requirement. For example, with six 24/5000/120 units, this results in 25kW / 30kVA output power with 720A charging capacity.
Â
3-phase-operation
Regardless of the parallel connection, three units of the same model can also be configured for 3-phase output. In addition, up to six sets with three units each can be connected in parallel to achieve a 75kW / 90 kVA inverter and over 2,000A charging capacity.
Â
Power control
The MultiPlus by Victron Energy is also a very powerful battery charger. It takes a lot of electricity from the generator or the shore power supply (almost 10A per 5kVA Multi at 230V AC). The maximum mains or generator current to be drawn can be set with the MultiControl remote control panel. The MultiPlus then takes other connected AC consumers into account and only uses the electricity that is still available for charging. Overloading is therefore excluded.
Â
PowerAssist
With this function the PowerControl principle takes on a new dimension. The PowerAssist enables the MultiPlus to support under-designed alternative sources. Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore power or generator power is immediately compensated for by energy from the battery. If the load is reduced, i.e. If consumers are switched off, the energy that is then available again can be used to charge the batteries.
Â
Four stage adaptive charger and two battery charging
The main exit ensures - with the help of modern software - a powerful charging of the battery system. The software fine-tunes the automatic, three-stage charging process in order to adapt it as best as possible to the state of the battery. It also adds a fourth level for long periods of time in maintenance mode. Apart from this, the MultiPlus also charges a second battery using an independent trickle charge output designed for a prime mover or a generator starter battery.
Â
System configuration has never been easier
If the settings need to be changed, this can be done within a few minutes using the new DIP switch setting procedure. Even a parallel connection or 3-phase operation can be programmed using the DIP switches. Alternatively, VE-Net can be used instead of the DIP switches. In addition, highly developed software (VE.Bus quick configuration and VE.Bus system configuration) is also available to configure some new, extended functions.
