Detailed Description
Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT)
The MPPT RS 450/200 is a 48 V solar charge controller with up to 450 V DC PV input and 200 A output current (up to 11.5 kW charging power). It is used in on-grid and off-grid systems where maximum battery charging power is required.
Four independent MPPT tracking inputs
With four independent MPP trackers, up to four solar array segments can be optimised separately – for example different roof orientations or partially shaded areas. Each string operates at its own optimal power point.
System example: MPPT RS with GX device charging a 48 V battery from independently controlled PV strings.
Isolated PV connections for added safety
Full galvanic isolation between the PV and battery terminals increases overall system safety.
Wide MPPT voltage range
80–450 V DC PV operating range with a 120 V DC PV start voltage – long module strings and efficient cabling are no problem.
Efficient and quiet
Thanks to high-frequency technology, the 200 A model weighs just 13.7 kg. It operates with excellent efficiency, low standby power consumption and very quiet operation.
Display and Bluetooth
The built-in display shows battery and controller parameters. All values can be read via Bluetooth using VictronConnect, and settings can be changed from there.
PV insulation resistance monitoring
The MPPT RS continuously monitors the PV array and detects faults that reduce module insulation to unsafe levels.
VE.Can and VE.Direct connections
For connecting to a GX device for system monitoring, data logging and firmware updates. Via VE.Can, up to 25 units can be connected in parallel and charge in sync.
Remote monitoring and control
In combination with a GX device and the free Victron VRM portal, you have full access to your charge controller anytime, from anywhere.
VictronConnect shows the 30-day history and the output of each MPP tracker individually.
