Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 150/60
Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking
By continuously monitoring the voltage and current output of the solar panels, MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) ensures that all available energy is drawn from the solar panels and stored. This is especially important when the sky is partially overcast or light intensity keeps changing. As a result, energy yield is up to 30% higher compared to PWM charge controllers.
Extending battery life
The intelligent load output function prevents damage caused by using "empty" batteries. You have the option of configuring the voltage at which the Victron SmartSolar charge controller disconnects a load, in order to prevent excessive discharge of the batteries.
With the BatteryLife function, the Victron Energy charge controller tries every day to fully recharge the battery. Should this not be possible, e.g. due to bad weather, the device raises the disconnect voltage threshold each day until it succeeds. This preserves proper operation and extends the life of your battery.
Remote monitoring and control
You can remotely control and monitor the extensive functions of your SmartSolar MPPT charge controller with built-in Bluetooth by pairing it with your smartphone or another device via VictronConnect. If your system is connected via a GX device to the Victron Remote Management online portal (VRM), you have full access to your MPPT anytime, from anywhere. Both VictronConnect and VRM are available free of charge. For remote installations - even where there is no internet connection nearby - you may be able to monitor your MPPT by connecting it to the GlobalLink 520.
