RS485 to USB interface - cable

Victron energy meters are preferably used in Victron's ESS systems. A special energy meter (smart meter) EM24/RS485 can be connected to a USB port using this interface.

The energy meter can be connected directly to the Color Control GX display. There are two connection options:

  • Use this interface (RS485 to USB) with a cable length of 1.8 m or 5.0 m
    The RS485 run from the energy meter to the interface can be extended up to 100 m.
  • Wireless connection using the Zigbee components
