enwitec supplies the only changeover box available on the market that is officially approved and listed by SMA. The changeover unit is prepared for installation of an SMA Energy Meter / SMA Home Manager 2.0.
In the event of a grid outage, the grid changeover box safely disconnects the connected PV system and the load distribution from the public grid, while simultaneously providing the customer with a backup power supply. Thanks to enwitec's ready-to-connect, pre-tested solution, installers avoid the time-consuming and costly self-build of a changeover unit as well as having to take on their own warranty liability.
To date, enwitec's changeover unit for backup power / Battery Backup Distribution (BBD) is the only product recommended in the SMA planning guide for use in the „Flexible Storage System“. The "BBD" for the SMA „Flexible Storage System“ uses exclusively SMA-approved components, forming the basis for maximum supply security.
