New Features at a Glance
The Battery-Box Premium HVS+ (High Voltage Small storage) is the latest generation of BYD battery storage systems and, compared to its predecessor, not only offers all previous functions but also enables trouble-free expansion without having to adjust the state of charge beforehand. This is made possible by the new and improved Battery Management System, which handles the SoC matching.
In addition, clear, modular network connectivity including app-based commissioning and remote updates is now possible thanks to the included WiFi/LAN module.
The new battery storage system also has protection class IP55.
This means the BYD B-Box Premium HVS+ can also be installed in a sheltered outdoor area.
Flexible and Scalable
Since the BYD battery has a modular design, the storage system can be expanded later in 2.56 kWh increments.
Unlike the predecessor model, no prior adjustment of the individual batteries' states of charge is required here.
Expansion is now done via simple plug-and-play with a new battery module.
You can still connect up to 3 battery towers into one system. Each battery is also able to deliver its rated capacity as power output.
Please note that the HVS+ complete storage systems are not compatible with the existing HVS system.
The BYD B-Box Premium HVS+ is compatible with, among others, the popular Kostal Plenticore inverters as well as Solis S6 inverters.

Significantly higher and longer peak output:
The HVS+ now delivers 80 A for 15 seconds (previously 75 A for 3 seconds), which better absorbs load peaks in larger systems and three-phase inverters. Continuous current remains at 50 A. -
Adjusted voltage window:
The upper voltage limit is around 2–4% lower depending on capacity. -
Changed dimensions and weight:
The new modules are wider (610 mm instead of 585 mm) and flatter (282 mm instead of 298 mm) as well as heavier (41.4 kg instead of 35-38 kg). Complete towers weigh 20 to 50 kg more depending on size, which should be taken into account for mounting and load-bearing capacity. -
Unchanged proven features:
Capacities from 2–5 modules (5.12–12.8 kWh), lithium iron phosphate technology (LFP), protection class IP55, temperature range from -10 to +50 °C, CAN and RS485 interfaces, as well as a 10-year warranty with at least 60% remaining capacity.
