How do I correctly commission my Victron system with a GX device?

The following steps are required to configure and correctly commission your Victron system.

These are general, non-binding notes and are not a complete commissioning guide:

Install and configure VictronConnect

Once this has been completed successfully, review VictronConnect and the Remote Console, including all settings. Detailed instructions and explanations are available for each item.

You should also update the firmware on all devices, excluding beta versions, and then configure the VEConfigure file. In VictronConnect, this can be found under Devices.

If these buttons are not visible, enable two-way communication in the Remote Console.

Next, configure the settings in VEConfigure. This includes loading the ESS Assistant and, for Pylontech batteries, applying the settings provided here:
