Data usage depends heavily on the number of connected products and how those products behave and are used. The following measurements are only a guide and come from a system with a Cerbo GX, a Multi, a BMV and an MPPT, with the logging interval set to 15 minutes. If your data plan is expensive, allow some margin.

Data usage per month:

  • VRM logging: 15 MB download, 45 MB upload

  • Remote support: 22 MB download, 40 MB upload

  • Update checks: 8 MB download, 0.3 MB upload (this does not include the update itself)

  • Two-way communication: 26 MB download, 48 MB upload

The figures above do not include downloading a Cerbo GX firmware update. Firmware updates of 60 MB are not unusual.
