BYD | Problem mit dem Firmware-Update | App-Konfiguration | WLAN

The BCU consists of two components: the BMU and the BMS. A firmware update from the app first updates the BMU, which then updates the BMS. The BMS update starts only when communication between the battery and inverter is established or directly after app configuration. It can take up to approximately 20 minutes for the BMS firmware to update.

Correct app and firmware
Make sure the latest app version and latest Battery-Box firmware are available on the mobile device before connecting the app to the battery Wi-Fi. If the app cannot be installed or other general app problems occur:

  • Try a different mobile device.
  • Uninstall and reinstall the app.
  • Alternatively use the Be Connect Plus (BCP) PC tool.

Wi-Fi not found / Wi-Fi unstable
The battery Wi-Fi switches off approximately 5 hours after battery startup. To reactivate it, press the LED button for about 1 second or restart the system. To reset the Wi-Fi, press the LED button three times for about 1 second each within 6 seconds.

If the problem continues:

  • Remove the LAN cable during configuration. Reconnect the BCU to the internet only after the battery has been configured correctly.
  • Check whether other mobile devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi.
  • Try a different mobile device.

BMS version does not update
The app updates the BMU; the BMU then updates the BMS. Once the BMU is updated and inverter communication is stable, or directly after configuration is completed, the BMS update can take around 20 minutes. If the BMS version has still not updated after 20 minutes with stable inverter communication:

  1. Update the firmware again through the app.
  2. Restart the system:
    1. Switch off the inverter first and then the battery by holding the LED button for 5 seconds.
    2. Wait 30 seconds.
    3. Switch on the battery first and then the inverter.
  3. Wait 20 minutes.
  4. Check the BMS firmware version again in the app. If the version is still incorrect, repeat the update process, if possible using a different mobile device.
