The wallbox is equipped with SMA SMART CONNECTED, enabling intelligent service through SMA Smart Connected. These innovative electric vehicle chargers offer solar plant operators an intelligent and cost-effective way to charge their electric vehicles with solar Energy.

The benefits of this solution are diverse. With solar energy as the power source, the costs for grid electricity during charging can be significantly reduced. This applies to both new solar installations and existing systems, as the SMA Electric Vehicle Charger is highly flexible. It comes with a fixed Type 2 charging cable that is compatible with most electric vehicles.

By combining it with the Sunny Home Manager 2.0, users have the option to preferentially charge their electric vehicles with solar energy, and do so rapidly when needed. Operation is straightforward, either through a rotary switch on the device itself or via the SMA Energy App. Particularly noteworthy is the Boost function, which allows charging at nearly double the speed of conventional charging stations. This solution also adapts to lower solar power outputs by automatically switching between single-phase and three-phase charging modes, always preventing overloading of the house connection.

The SMA Electric Vehicle Charger offers universal compatibility and works seamlessly with a variety of common electric vehicles. It can be easily integrated into new and existing solar installations, ensuring maximum utilization of solar energy and enabling emissions-free charging. Additionally, the integrated direct current fault monitoring enhances safety and reduces installation costs. With SMA Smart Connected, this solution provides investment security. With charging speeds of up to 22 kW and a grid-compliant Boost function of up to 7.4 kW, it offers a simple and quick way to charge electric vehicles, with control and visualization conveniently managed through the SMA Energy App.
