Super Fast Maximum Power Point Tracking
By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar panels, the MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology ensures that all of the available power is rinsed out of your solar panels and harvested for storage. This is most noticeable during clouded skies and changing light intensities. Energy harvest will improve by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers.
Extended Battery Life
The intelligent Load output function prevents damage caused by running batteries 'flat'. You can configure the voltage at which the Victron charge controller SmartSolar disconnects a load to prevent excessive drain on the batteries.
With the BatteryLife feature, the Victron Energy charge controller will attempt a full recharge every day. If it can't - for example because of poor weather - it raises the disconnect voltage daily, until it's successful. This maintains the health and extends the life of the battery.
Monitoring and Control via Bluetooth
You can remotely control and monitor the features of your Victron SmartSolar MPPT charger with built-in bluetooth. Simply pair the device with your smartphone via VictronConnect.
If you connect your installation to the free to use VRM Portal, you have access to your MPPT charge controller, anytime, anywhere.
