    Kaco BLUEPLANET HY-SWITCH Circuit Breaker

    The KACO blueplanet hy-switch cost-efficiently integrates two important functions: real-time measurement at the mains connection point ensures fast regulation of the battery storage. In the event of a power failure, the hy-switch ensures automatic, all-pole disconnection from the mains.

    Consumption measurement and mains switching

    The blueplanet hy-switch provides real-time measurement of energy consumption at the feed point to control the energy storage system. Internal current sensors reliably measure up to 50 amps. If the whole system is expanded with external current sensors, the measurement can even be extended to 100 amps. In addition, all-pole disconnection from the mains is possible in the event of a power failure, so that the energy storage system can continue to supply the consumers.

    All-pole mains disconnection

    The blueplanet hy-switch serves as a measuring point and all-pole disconnection point for the local network. It is connected to the three phases, the neutral conductor and the earth (PE). The measuring point is required to record and compensate the consumption of the local installation in conjunction with the blueplanet hybrid inverter. 

    In addition, the measuring point ensures that no current from the batteries connected to the blueplanet hybrid is exported to the public grid (flow direction sensor). The all-pole disconnection point offers the possibility of disconnecting the local installation from the public power grid. This makes it basically possible to use the blueplanet hybrid inverter to temporarily establish an isolated grid, e.g. if the public power supply is disrupted.

    Important! This function must be enabled on the inverter. Activation is subject to a charge.
