How to Plan Your Mounting System With K2 BASE
In the following, we will show you which functions K2 BASE offers and how you can conveniently plan your own mounting system online.
1. Create Your User Account
Creating your user account enables you to backup all your planning data. You have instant access to your projects at any time regardless of location. By the way: you can plan several roofs simultaneously in one project.
2. Use of Satellite Images
The basis for the planning are satellite images. Here, K2 BASE uses the data from Google Maps. You can zoom in on your roof and then start planning your mounting structure. It is also possible to switch between the satellite view and the classic map view.
3. Planning the Roof
You have a variety of drawing tools at your disposal, with which you can work graphically quickly and easily and select your roof from the satellite images. Possible obstructions or restricted areas can be edited quickly. You also have the option of specifying exact data for orientation and size when planning the roof.
4. Definition of the Module Fields
Use the graphical tools with dimension and angle information to define the position of the solar panels. Here, the creation of multiple module fields on one roof is possible.
5. Calculation of Load and Ballast
The software provides an automatic function for defining the snow and wind loads. This makes it easy to set the right loads. There is also an automatic calculation of the required ballast with accurate displays, reports and work files.
6. Customization of the Project Report
You can include the following information in your project report: project data, assembly plan, results, ballast plan, bill of material and static report. The finished project plan is then available as PDF file. The bill of material and the ballast plan are also exportable in MS Excel format.
