An inverter / charger with built-in device networking, the Victron MultiPlus-II GX communicates with many batteries (such as Pylontech batteries), solar chargers and other devices to control a grid-connected, off-grid or remote power installation.
Here is the list of compatible batteries.
The device is capable of parallel operation for increased power output or battery charge-rates. The Victron Energy MultiPlus-II GX can also be configured for three-phase supply. Only one GX unit is needed for this.

Applications
The Victron MultiPlus-II 48V 3000VA 35-32 230V GX is suited for applications where additional interfacing with other products and/or remote monitoring is necessary, like on-grid or off-grid energy storage systems (ESS) and some mobile applications.
The device can be connected with PV inverters.Â
The MultiPlus-II uses excess DC power to charge batteries or to feed back power into the grid. Conversely, it can also discharge the battery and use the power from the grid to compensate for a shortage of DC power.
Another important advantage: The MultiPlus can also form a three-phase network, be connected to other MPII devices and generate a lot of power together.

In the event of a power failure, the device disconnects from the mains and continues to supply the loads.The switchover takes place so quickly that electronic devices can continue to operate without interruption.
The size of the battery storage used depends on the project. Battery storage systems from various manufacturers are available that are certified by Victron Energy on this inverter. Only one device per type is shown in the following pattern.

GX functionality
The GX-device is the communication-centre that monitors the installation, provides firmware updates and allows to change the MultiPlus settings remotely.

- VE.Can interface to connect to Victron VE.Can devices (eg VE.Can MPPTs) (can also be reconfigured via Remote Console for use with compatible CAN-bus Li-ion Battery)
