SoliTek was founded in 1998 as an independent company for the production of CDs in Vilnius, Lithuania. Since the beginning, the company has experienced strong growth and significantly expanded its product portfolio. Currently, the parent company BOD GROUP is mainly active in three main segments. One of them is SoliTek as a manufacturer of high quality solar energy products.
Durability comes first
An important part of SoliTek is the research and development department. Thanks to the continuous innovative development activity, SoliTek is a pioneer in the solar industry. Not only does the company supply extremely durable products for power generation, but they also do everything in their power to do so in the most environmentally friendly way possible. Sustainably generated energy is used to manufacture the products, which leads to annual savings of more than 400 tons of CO2.
The energy supply and cooling of the production facilities is carried out with a mix of green energy: solar energy (150 kW on the building roof) and more than 1 MW geothermal energy from 108 boreholes with a depth of 148 meters each.
Award: Cradle to Cradle Certified â„¢
The European solar module manufacturer SoliTek is also enjoying great international success with the advanced double glass modules of the SOLID series. To this end, the company submitted to the demanding Cradle to Cradle Certified â„¢ program at the beginning of 2020.
The SoliTek solar module was awarded the globally recognized Cradle to Cradle Certified ™ award by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. The SoliTek solar modules were the first in the world to reach the “silver†level.
